Kimi Ni Todoke(Reaching you)

Kimi Ni Todoke Manga

The plot of this fantastic manga[from MangaReader.net]
Kuronuma Sawako’s one wish in life is to make friends. That’s a difficult proposition when everyone who meets this high school student cowers in terror! She just wants to be like her classmate Kazehaya-kun, a laid-back, easygoing guy.

MangaReader likes small plots, don’t they?

Kimi Ni Todoke is like Special A in two ways: No blood and gore splattering about and I constantly want to jump in, slap the characters, and scream, "HE LIKES YOU, BAKA!" And at one point, I was screaming "They’re the same!!!"
Anyway, I loved the story and enjoyed how it went. At times, I was confused, but I did have a lot of fun reading it. I am certain that it is not completely posted online from the ending(no kiss between two characters, a confession right before it ends for another two-which is available on chapter 59 page 25 for the impatient who like spoiling things) and if I learn they stopped posting, I'll throw a fit. I want to see certain things happen!!! Like I wanna know why it is that*ends sentence* Never mind, I'll avoid spoilers.
Anyway, I love the way it's drawn, though some parts helped with how confusing it was, and I really love all that happens along the way(though other parts want me to kill poor Sawako for her stupidity in not knowing *ends senence* Ignore that. And sorry if I end sentences early. I tend to reveal spoilers.
Oh, random night, a sign that I loved this anime is that I actually changed my google background from Tifa from FFVII to Chizu and Ayane!!!
Anyway, let's get onto character reviews so I can't spoil anything!!!

Sawako
This is Sawako, nicknamed "Sadako" by her classmates. She's SO sweet and REALLY scary in the eyes of others. I'm not really the kind to be scared of her since I absolutely hate ghosts and don't believe in them(no offense to those who do like/believe in them) She's cute and makes me want to hug her at times, yet at others she makes me wanna slap her for being an idiot. That's no prob, right? I mean, THAT'S WHAT I WANT IN A MAIN CHARACTER! If I never want to slap you, I like you too much! You need to have some bad qualities that I'll hate.
The CUTEST moment is one I can't reveal, but you'll know it when you see Sawako's arm stretched out to the side, reaching for Kazehaya. Okay, IT'S HER TRYING TO HOLD HIS HAND! I CAN'T HIDE IT! IT WAS TOO CUTE! Here, I'll cross that out!

Kazeyhaya

This guy is Hazehaya, a complete idiot. Yet he's TOO awesome and TOO cute when he blushes! I just LOVE IT WHEN HE'S EMBERASSED! Is that a bad thing?
And he goes on about how he's selfish and lists his bad characters, but I think that's what makes him TOO DANG CUTE! And with how Sawako thought he didn't like her the *ends sentence* Let's just say that the school's festival is surely something to look forward to.
Other than that, there happens to be nothing I dislike about him except that he's TOO CUTE TO BE REAL! I mean, come on! Why do anime guys have to be so dang perfect where there's no chance of getting to meet someone like them in real life(or not in my world.)
Anyway, let's move on to one of my favorite characters!

Sanada Ryu & Yoshida Chizuru (Kimi ni Todoke)
This may look like a confession, but Chizu doesn't see it that way. She thinks it's meant as their friendship, wish is very large(she sees him as a brother. Poor Ryu T.T)

Ryu! This guy is too perfect! I mean, in my eyes, I like him better than Kazehaya! He's soooo sweet! His hardcore honesty makes him extremely likable! I mean, how he never remembers names is a bit annoying, but it's cute that he doesn't appear to put in an effort. And how he's always sleeping! Yet he's kind and honest and makes me think of a teddy bear! Don't ask why. I have never seen a teddy bear person, but this is how I want one to be!

A very emotional Chizu...

Chizuru Yoshida, better known as Chizu. This emotionally dense idiot is SO much fun to have in the anime. I really love her and how thoughtless she can be. She accidentally said that Kazehaya knows the least about Sawako to his face without thinking it would affect the relationship between him and Sawako. It REALLY complicated things. But, it's okay. Her strength and silliness is something I love. One thing I don't love is how DENSE and COLD she is. Okay, she's NOT cold, but I think it's cold with how she turned down poor Ryu. *huggles Ryu saying "I'll love you, Ryu!"*

Ayane

What can I say against Ayane? (I want to get that out of the way since I may have problems remembering later one) Well, to begin, she dates too much. She should really choose a guy that will have a chance of liking her. Get a crush! Something!
Other than that, I like how she's sweet and talks to Sawako(like Chizu) and is good at helping the situation between Sawako and Kazehaya(I feel as if I've already revealed too much about those two...) She's someone nice to have as a friends, and I love how her and Sawako were upset about not being able to  help Chizu after her fight with Ryu(Poor Ryu...)

Pin

Kazuichi Arai, better known as Pin. Heck, I can't even call him Arai-sensei. At one point when they said Arai I thought they were talking about their old teacher
Anyway, I dislike Pin most of the time. He's loud, obnoxious, unable to act like an adult, and knows how to cause trouble. In fact, he told poor clueless Sawako that to thank Kazehaya she just had to stand still for five seconds with her eyes close while facing Kazehaya(it was REALLY close, though! Inches away from happening!)
Now, he also has his moments where he is okay. I can't really think of any, but I'm sure he's had at least one(maybe only one. :P) He actually ushered Kazehaya to confess to Sawako.

Kurumi is on the right

Ume Kurumizawa, better known as Kurumi. This girl is O.K. She's the one that got Sawako to make sure she clarified her confession and make sure she actually got rejected(and some of us may know very well how that ended. :P). Kurumi herself confessed to Kazehaya, but she received a rejection(and I know it's rude, but I was cheering at that moment).
Against her, she keeps up a fake personality(which is a SWEET and CUTE one) around most people. The only person she really shows her true self to Sawako, which is the total opposite of her original one.

You can probably figure out which one Miura is...

Do I HAVE to do him? DO I? Fine, I will...
Let's start with this: What can I say POSITIVE about this meddling idiot??? HE ALMOST ENDED ANY CHANCE THAT KAZEHAYA AND SAWAKO HAD! IN FACT, HE TRIED TO MAKE HER GIVE UP ANY HOPES! I honestly can't think of anything positive to say about him! Miura is a complete idiot with no brains. Sure, he tries to help Sawako smile more and say "Good Morning" with ease, but he's STILL AN IDIOT!!! MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS, MIURA!!!
Oh, just thought of something. He hugged Ayane when she was depressed. There, I came up with something positive. (I almost hate this dude as much as Kaname. Almost)

Well, obviously I've had a lot to say. I hope you enjoy these pictures that I felt like throwing in:

Something tells me that this was inspired by the chapter taking place on New Years(as Sawako said she was happy about seeing a first time of Kazehaya's)

SO CLOSE!!!
Look at Kazehaya getting all emberassed! :P

You can tell that it bent where Kazehaya's arm is...

Special A

Duh-duh! We now have another manga reviewed!

Here's the plot[From MangaReader.net]
Have you ever known someone who was better than you at everything you did? Hikari does. She's known Kei since they were both six years old and he's surpassed her at everything. Now they are the top two students in an extremely prestigious high school, with Kei holding firmly to that number one position, and Hikari is still determined to beat him, no matter what it takes.

Now, for the review:

I can’t help but laugh at Takishima(Kei). And poor Hikari is such an idiot. What kind of person wouldn’t notice that Takishima likes them after he says he’s gonna kill the student council president for stealing the food you made for him and saying it’s gross? Or, what’s more, flipping out after you pushed yourself too hard and collapsed? And even Kei called her dense[written after reading chapter 11, so I’m used to calling him Kei]!!!
Akira's okay, but I'm no particullarly fond of her. I don't know why.
As for Tadashi, well, I think he's a humorous addition and enjoy reading the chapters with him in it(especially when Akira tied him up so he'd have to go with them to her villa)
Oh, I should probably give my opinion on Ryuu, Megumi, and that quiet twin of hers, right? Well, the trio themselves are funny. And I agree with Megumi and her brother about hating exercise. I’m surprise that I don’t die in gym. *sighs* And to think I’ve gotta start doing exercise come next Tuesday since my sister’s leaving. :(
Anyway, the trio is really funny and I loved how Megumi and her brother knew how to stop Ryuu.
Anyway, I originally typed up this: "I spent the first 8 chapters laughing and trying to stop myself from squealing like I’m forced to do with all my favorite Shojo Manga. And I’m still going through it at lightning speed! I love it too much!!!" Well, I love it too much to quit reading! So, before I knew it, I passed up chapter 8!
The manga is drawn well, in my opinion. I am not the best person to tell you about drawing skills, but I do know that I have opinions on manga that is drawn in a way I like and in a way I dislike. I dislike Loveless, I like this one(and Vampire Knight! :P)
Overall, the manga is GREAT so far! I started rather late in the day, but by 1:00 a.m. I was begging for the pictures to load so I could read more! I was on chapter 12! And I was screaming out(in my mind) "What do you also have on your mind? COME ON! LOAD STUPID PAGE! LOAD! I HATE YOU SLOW LAPTOP! I HATE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Oh! Random thought! Takishima makes me think of Usui-kun from Kaichou Wa Maid-sama! Why? Well...the way the girl[a fan of Kachou Wa Maid-Sama who hasn’t read it in a while] referred to it: Usui ran circles around her while looking back to makes sure she was okay(or something like that). And, he OBVIOUSLY likes her! I see it as the same here.
And the IT game in chapter 10 makes me think of Hana to Akuma, another manga I loved(only I actually finished that one...)
Jeez, I had fun linking this to other manga, didn’t I? *sighs* If only there was a way to link it to Vampire Knight. But that would be rather hard, wouldn’t it?
Well, overall this manga is fun. However, I find the girls being to idiotic(or "dense") to realize a guy likes them as a bit overused(A.K.A I saw it as bad after Kaichou Wa Maid-Sama). I don’t mind it, I guess. But I really should take a moment to read some Shounen manga so that I don’t get tired of love stories. Maybe I could go back to reading D. Gray Man. I mean, if it isn’t Soul Eater, as it lost me during the Black Star-dude’s chapter(no offense, friend and school who likes it, though I’d never say I dislike it to you!) I’d be interested. Just as long as it’s also appropriate.
Well, I hope you enjoyed this long rant on this manga! I’d do character reviews, but I felt like I did them just without the pictures. As an apology, here’s a few pictures:

Hope you enjoyed them!

Hearts no Kuni Alice(Alice in the Country of Hearts)

My second favorite manga EVER! I loved this one to death! I mean, it was too cute! And I can't wait for the movie(Wonderful Wonder World. YouTube it for a trailer, but it's in Japanese still)! I loved all of the characters in it(except Blood Dupre. :P I hated him). So, I decided I'd give you a review on each of the characters. Interested? Let's start with the plot first!

Plot:[From Wikipedia(I know it's no the best place, but I decided to use it instead of MangaReader or MangaFox)]
Alice Liddell is an insecure girl who is jealous of her sister's beauty and grace. During one of their outings, Alice's sister goes to get a deck of cards for a game while Alice falls asleep. When a white rabbit comes and encourages her to chase him, Alice assumes she is dreaming and tries to go back to napping until the rabbit turns into a man with white rabbit ears and carries her off. Peter White (the white rabbit) throws Alice into a hole that appears in her yard and jumps in after her. When they land in a strange, open area, Peter starts confessing his undying love for her. He tells her to drink some 'medicine' but when she refuses, he simply pours the liquid into his mouth and then kisses her, forcing her to drink it. It is later revealed that this liquid is some kind of way to prevent her from going home. Alice learns that she is in Wonderland and the only way she might be able to return to her world is to interact and spend time with the strange people in Wonderland, which slowly refills the medicine vial. However, Wonderland is going through violent times - everyone is reckless and uncaring as to who lives or dies, and with a civil war going on everyone in the strange world finds it hard to trust each other with an instinct to kill.

Now, the manga istelf was fantastic! Sure, some parts confused me, but that wasn't a very common occurance. In fact, most of the time I followed along with ease. And I constantly screamed at Alice to choose anyone but Blood Dupre. Let's just face it, I can't stand the guy.
Anyway, to be basic, I loved how everyone in the place loved Alice, and they did a great job in the drawing. Some manga isn't drawn very well in my opinion, which annoys me. But this one was drawn rather well in my opinion and I couldn't help but love it. I had my favorite characters, my least favorite character(yes, singular), and characters that I was okay with. How about I tell you my opinion on each?

Alice Liddell is the classic main character who is a lot like the original alice, only older and more realistic in response to things. She is an okay character who is constantly angered at how easily Wonderlanders throw away their lives. They seems to shoot one another as sports, if nothing else. And this angers her more than ever. She is annoyed by Blood Dupre(who can blame her) and ends up constantly comparing her to a guy in her past, which annoys him. I rather like Alice, though I don't like her final decision.

Heart No Kuni No Alice

Peter White is the White Rabbit of the story. He starts off as a cute rabbit, trying to get Alice to follow him. When she doesn't, he transforms into the human(with rabbit ears) as portrayed in the picture I chose. He is rather funny with how he uses his rabbit-self to get Alice to hug him(and let him sleep in her bed). He's a hilarious character to have along and is a lot of fun to watch go crazy over Alice. In fact, I can't see why Alice didn't choose this adorable obsessor!

Blood Dupre. Um...is there anything positive I can say about him? How about I start with negative. I don't like how annoying he is, to begin with. He's always going on about how he doesn't care for Alice and ends up being the one to fetch her back! He's the first version of the Mad Hatter in an Alice in Wonderland Remake(yeah, I'm big on them. But this was the first manga of it I checked out) that I didn't like. Quite frankly, he's to much for me to care for.
Positive-wise...I guess his hate is cool. And so is his mansion.

Elliot March is a great person for the place of the March Hare. Of course, if you call him a rabbit, he'll get rather annoyed at you. According to the wikipedia, he claims to be a dog and hate carrots(though he loves carrot dishes). I don't remember him ever claiming the position of a dog. However, I constantly remember his hate of carrots and love of carrot dishes. I love watching Elliot and thought it funny when Alice first met him how he appeared to save her from the Twins' wish to kill her, only to point a gun at her.
Anyway, not much I can say about him that's bad. Actually, there isn't anything bad I can say at all. :( Sorry, I'll tell you if I come up with anything!

Tweedle Dee and Dum. Wanna guess who they portray? :P I enjoyed these characters a lot, actually. I thought they were fun characters to have around. It's hard to dislike these two. If anything, I don't like how they're ignorant of the fact that Alice will have a replacement. But I do love watching them goof off and constantly refer to her as "Onee-chan."

Alice, Vivaldi, and Peter

Vivaldi is the Red Queen of the story and the only female that has a major role besides Alice. Her and Blood are siblings, though Alice makes the mistake of thinking them lovers. And I personally love how she acts cold towards some people but secretely loves in cute things. The only thing I don't love about Vivaldi is her talking about herself in plural. Or at least, that's what I believe her to be doing. I mean, talking about herself is the only logical thing.

Ace's role is an original one, though some may guess him to be the Knave of Hearts. Don't ask me what that is. I just say what I hear.
Anyway, Ace is higher up on my favorites list than the twins or Elliot, but no way is he higher than Boris Airay or Peter White. He acts like a complete idiot who can't find his way for the life of him. In fact, Alice makes the grave mistake of allowing him to lead her somewhere. Poor girl was stuck in the forest with him overnight.
The only thing I don't like about Ace is how badly he injured Boris. That's it. Nothing more. I can't help it if I'm a Boris fan. :P

Julius Monrey is not my favorite character. He's in a middle rank. The guy will go days without eating and overwork himself. Poor Alice has to make sure he eats. He seems like he doesn't care for Alice, but he does. I'm sure of it. ^.^ Anyway, one of the main reasons I like him is because he doesn't like Blood. He has a good judge of character in my eyes.
He is the mortician of Wonderland. He controlls time and repairs broken clocks so that people can be recreated. It's a hard job for him and he allows Alice to help him around the house while he works. There's not much to be said on him, really. You might as well move on to the next review: Poor Mary Gowland.

Mary Gowland

Mary Gowland is a possible parody of the Duchess. Why a parody? Look at him! He's a guy who can't play the violin for the life of him! And his name! If you look at it, it's like Merry Go Round since the Japanese don't really have L's, they use R. They made that comparison in the manga, I believe. And he absolutely hates being called Mary. Sadly, he has Boris living with him in the theme park. :P
Mary is fun to watch, especially when he tries to name rides in the park. He has no skill whatsoever. Also, his constant attempt to play the violin is hilarious. He tries to and thinks he has talent, but he has none.
On the negative, he yells at Boris when he gets blood on his floors. I mean, a little cold, right?

Now, I've saved the best for last!!!

Isn't he cute in this pic?

Boris Airay is one of my favorite characters. No, he is my favorite. He's hilarious and loves chasing around Piercie. He's the pink-style Cheshire Cat who sneaks into the castle for fun, not caring for his life. After Alice scolds him for this, he takes more care in not killing everyone. It made me love him SO much! I mean, when Ace was saying he wanted to kill Alice, he refused to kill Ace, rather he just shot at his feet so he wouldn't be able to move. And his short attention span is just so cute! I mean, he asked Alice to tell him about her orld, and before she could finish, he made her hold his gun since she said she had never held one. And then when she asked about him hearing her world, he simply blamed his being a cat. It was SO funny! The manga would not be the same without Boris! I mean, take him away and you might as well take away Peter or Blood(Bluck) or Alice.

Well, that's it. I hope you enjoyed the review!

Vampire Knight

So, I figured that for the first Manga Review, we should do a manga that inspired me to be called Zeki. Why? My shipping, duh!
But I will try to be as unbiased as possible!

Vampire Knight[Plot from MangaReader.net]
Cross Academy is attended by two groups of students: the Day Class and the Night Class. At twilight, when the students of the Day Class return to their dorm, they cross paths with the Night Class on their way to school. Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu are the Guardians of the school, there to protect the Day Class from the Academy's dark secret: the Night Class is full of vampires.

Bad plot info, I know. But, basically, it's about Yuuki Cross, Zero Kiryuu, and Kaname "Bluck" Kuran. Sorry, ignore the "Bluck" I'm trying to be unbiased, but I can't stand him!
Anyway, the story starts in Cross Academy but drifts to also include the Hunter Association, Kaname's house(don't have a propper term, sorry), and various places that they travel to. I do believe that there are quite a few characters that I would love to go through with my review on them. But, first, let's do a basic review.
The Manga is FANTASIC! I didn't watch the anime, honestly. They tend to cut stuff out from the manga. So, manga-wise, I love it! Zero is SO cool and mysteriuos and inspired me to create a manga music video about him and Yuuki. Kaname is horrible...er, rather cruel appearing. In my eyes, his only soft spot is for Yuuki. But, I can't think of it being him and Yuuki without screaming out "INCEST!!!" or whatever the term is for people related to one another getting together. And come Yuuki's leaving Cross Academy, I personally almost threw the laptop I use to read manga on. Poor thing. I can't help it if it made me nearly scream my head off.

Now, character reviews:

Yuuki Cross
My opinion of her is simple: She's too kind. Yet also, rather stupid. I don't like her much. I don't know why. Yes, I enjoy her character and have an opinion on who she would be with, hating her other option. However, I don't like how she's such a wimp when vampires try to suck her blood. And she simply offers it up to Zero at one point. Stupid much? I mean, she was almost sucked dry by the epic dude! So, why give it up? Who says he won't actually suck her dry? Sure, she's known him since she was little. Big deal. I'm sorry, but I really don't like her.

Kaname Kuran

What can I say about this guy? Um...I hate him. That's a first. I can't stand how he is. He killed Aidou Hanabusa's dad! And he had the nerve to abandon Yuuki to be taken into custody by the vampire hunters! Baka much? I don't like how intimidating he is and, in whole, he is a rather confusing character. Like, his past is the definition of confusing. Is he her brother or not? I felt like screaming when I read that chapter. And not a fan girl scream as much as a psycho scream.

Zero Kiryuu

Ah, the one main character that I actuall enjoy. Why? His past is SO sad! And I love his eyes! And I can't help but admit I have a thing for characters with silver hair. And he is SO cool! I feel really sorry and wouldn't have been freaked out if I learned he ate his brother. Sure, I felt sorry for his brother, but it was his brother's choice. Ichiru was just a pathetic human in the eyes of most. Anyway, I believe Zero had a sad past that I really love to death. Characters with a sad past are my favorite! I'm sorry, Zero, but if you had a past as confusing as Kaname's, I would probably like you less. So, be happy yours is easy to understand!

Aidou "Idol-sempai" Hanabusa
What can I say? I love this blood drinker! He is one of my favorite vampires and I feel sorry for what he's had to go through. I mean, the stupid-headed Kaname had to kill his father RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE POOR GUY! And he's rather loyal to the Kuran's. Even after seeing Kaname kill his dad, he is willing to hel Yuuki reestablish to Night Class. I absolutely love him!!! I can't help it!

The rest of the Night Class do not really stand out, nor does Yuuki's friend Yori. In fact, I'm not a fan of Yori. Other than that, I don't have much of an opinion on the characters.

For a person who either dislikes or has no opinion on most of the characters, I love this manga! I mean, it's too perfect to miss! I love the story line and am reading a chapter online whenever one comes up!
